Fibertec IHS staff are available to conduct comprehensive Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Investigations in any building. Fibertec IHS performs a detailed visual inspection and careful review of building conditions during each investigation. Occupant interviews can also be conducted to collect more detailed information on reported symptoms and building history.
A comprehensive sampling strategy is developed and implemented from all of the gathered information. Fibertec IHS has the capability to take a variety of samples including, but not limited to: bioaerolsols, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde and more.
The Fibertec IHS IAQ lab analyzes bioaerosol samples using ASTM D7391-09 "Standard Test Method for Categorization and Quantification of Airborne Fungal Structures in an Inertial Impaction Sample by Optical Microscopy". Additionally, we can analyze a variety of surface samples (tape, micro-vacuum, swab) pursuant to the requirements of the "Standardized Method for the Collection and Analysis of Bioaerosols, 1999". These analyses allow for the prompt determination of airborne or surface mold concentrations (viable and non-viable), pollen and other particulate matter that can cause adverse health effects in building environments.
